Your personal card for VAT-Free shopping in Belgium.

For applicants with a diplomatic identity card and a tax identification number. Your entitlement is checked before activation.

Your accreditation

Enter the numbers on your diplomatic identity card and the name of your mission.

On the back of your diplomatic identity card. This is different from the card number on the front.

On the front of your diplomatic identity card, for example D1234567.
Enter the full name of your Embassy, Consulate or international organisation.
Optional. The date your posting in Belgium ends, if already known.
Family members (optional)

Your partner and adult children can each receive a personal VAT Card. Family members must be 18 or older. Refund invoices must be in the accredited diplomat’s name.

We use this address for your card delivery and your invoices.

Type the name of the country where your card should be delivered.

Where should we send your VAT refunds?

We use this IBAN to pay your VAT refunds. Enter an account in your own name. You can paste it with or without spaces.
✓The green tick confirms the format and check digits of the IBAN, not the account holder.
iAfter registration, you will also receive a SEPA direct debit mandate to sign. Your account becomes active after the required approval and signature.

Do you mostly shop at other stores and prefer no service fee there? Then Basic may suit you. PRIME adds speed and active follow-up on those refunds.
Example only, at a connected store with 21 % VAT. You keep = VAT saved minus the service fee, before the yearly fee of 45 € that is the same for both. Fees apply to the VAT-inclusive total for registrations from 1 October 2026. PRIME at connected stores: min. 4.50 € per purchase.

What happens next
1
Sign your SEPA mandate
Your confirmation e-mail contains a summary of your application and your SEPA direct debit mandate. Sign the mandate: without it your account and your card are not activated.

Affiliation approval
Your affiliation is checked and approved by the authorities. Both the approval and your signed mandate are needed before activation; the order does not matter.
3
Card production and delivery
Once your affiliation is approved and your mandate is signed, your personal Diplomatic Card is produced and posted to your delivery address within 10 working days.

Activation requires both the approval of your affiliation and your signed SEPA mandate. Should anything need your attention, we contact you by e-mail.
